How we verify

Every page on PokeBonk Wiki carries evidence labels that tell you where a fact comes from: played in-game, read in the game's UI, official, datamined, player-reported or not verified yet. We never invent numbers — if we don't know, we say so.

Verified in-gamev0.7.7 · checked Oct 20, 2026

The six evidence labels

Verified in-game

We did it in the game ourselves and saw the result — for example the price we paid, a level we reached, a run we finished.

Seen in-game (UI)

The game's interface states it (a menu, a tooltip, a prep screen) and we read it there, but we haven't played it through — e.g. the Survival milestone at 45 minutes.

Official source

From the developer: in-game patch notes, official news posts or the developer's own posts.

Datamined

Read from the game's public files on pokebonk.com (League roster, passives, Ultimates, challenges, official translations). Accurate for that version, but not yet confirmed in play.

Player-reported

Reported by players. We rewrite it in our own words, count independent reports and move it to Verified once we confirm it.

Not verified yet

Not verified yet. We show a dash instead of guessing a number.

Our in-game checks

Every result from our test sessions — with run logs and the full screenshot library — is on the in-game tests page.

  • Checks run on a dedicated, legitimately registered account using only the normal UI, keyboard and mouse. No cheats, no modified clients, no reading or changing game memory.
  • Latest full check: v0.7.7 on Oct 20, 2026 — fresh account, Bulbasaur, Classic · Viridian Forest · Normal (2 runs), every menu checked.
  • Screenshots are taken at 1920×1080 in the English UI. Other players' names on leaderboards and in-run widgets are pixelated before publishing.

When the game updates

  • Our system checks pokebonk.com for a new version every few minutes and refreshes patch notes and game data automatically.
  • If a datamined value changes, the page shows the new value with the new version number until we re-check it in-game.
  • Rankings and advice (tier lists, build tips) are never changed automatically — a person re-checks them.
