How unlocking works
- Open the League. From the main menu, the League shows all 79 partners. Locked ones show their challenge and a progress bar.
- Complete the challenge. Goals marked "in a single run" must be done in one run; everything else adds up across all your runs.
- Catch it in your next run. The Pokémon appears in the run after you finish the challenge. Defeat it and throw the Poké Ball — it waits for you to catch it.
Tip: lifetime goals (total KOs, berries eaten, Pokémon slept…) progress in the background. Play the partner you enjoy and check the League now and then — several unlocks will be ready without trying.

How do you unlock new Pokémon in PokeBonk?
Open the League from the main menu and pick a locked partner to see its challenge. Complete the challenge, and that Pokémon shows up in your next run. Weaken it and catch it: only then does it join your League and become playable.
What is the easiest Pokémon to unlock?
After the starters (2 runs each), the easiest are the 50 partners with no League-size requirement — for example Caterpie (evolve 3 times) or Weedle (5,000 total KOs). Many of their goals add up across runs, so you unlock them just by playing.
How do I unlock Mewtwo in PokeBonk?
Have 60 members in your League. Capture Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres. Win the Rocky Desert on Hard. Then catch it in a run.
How do I unlock Mew?
Mew is the last partner: catch every other League member, then catch Mew in a run.
Does a shiny capture count?
No. Catching a Pokémon as a shiny adds it to your shiny collection but does not make it playable. To add it to your League you must finish its challenge and catch the normal form.
