How Survival works
- No zones or portals: a single map and a horde that never stops growing.
- Every 5 minutes a milestone boss. Defeat it to choose a pact — power now, in exchange for a curse.
- Supplies fall from the sky: Poké Balls and items drop in, and Meowth passes by with his shop.
- Since Patch #5 Survival also has comets, migration portals, altars that regenerate, Ditto and Hypno, plus hostile ground: mud, brambles, quicksand and burning floor.
- From minute 45: the Endless Night. Nobody holds out forever.

Survival tips
- Think about the pact before the boss dies. The curse lasts the rest of the run; pick ones that do not cancel your main damage move.
- Grab falling Poké Balls early — the item power you collect in the first 10 minutes decides whether you reach Mew.
- Watch the ground. Mud and quicksand slow you; burning floor hurts. Kite the horde on clear ground.
- Save your Ultimate (R) for the milestone boss rather than a normal wave.
Leaderboard and prizes
Survival ranks by time survived; KOs break ties. In Season 1 the top 50 of each region's Survival board won Stardust, a badge and its avatar frame — separate from the KO prizes:
| Tier | Ranks | Stardust |
|---|---|---|

| Elite | #2–3 | 600 ✦ |
| Top 10 | #4–10 | 300 ✦ |

| Top 50 | #26–50 | 100 ✦ |
FAQ
How does Survival mode work in PokeBonk?
Survival is one endless map with a horde that never stops growing. Every 5 minutes a milestone boss appears; beat it to choose a pact (power now, in exchange for a curse). From minute 45 the Endless Night begins and nobody holds out forever. You are ranked by time survived.
When does Mewtwo appear in Survival?
In Viridian Forest, Mewtwo is the 45-minute milestone — the same moment the Endless Night starts. Mew comes at 15 minutes and Moltres at 30.
What is the Endless Night?
From minute 45, night falls for good: tougher Pokémon spawn and the run cannot be held forever. v0.7.7 fixed Survival slowing down in runs over an hour, because Night elites now respect the enemy cap.
Is there a Survival leaderboard?
Yes. Each region has a Survival board ranked by time survived (KOs break ties), with its own prizes for the top 50. Your time also adds to your clan's Survival board.
