What to buy first

  1. Cheap levels first (80–140). Magnetism pulls in experience from further away and Skip turns unwanted level-ups into PokéDollars; Training and Stamina add damage and HP to every partner.
  2. 4th move (1,500). A fourth attack slot is one of the biggest jumps in power — the game's own tutorial says the same.
  3. Vitamin slots (1,200 for the first level). More vitamins means more stats every level.
  4. Fourth option (3,000) and Revive (5,000) once you are farming Stardust comfortably.

This order is our recommendation, not a measured optimum. It follows the upgrade effects and the Lab tutorial on a fresh account.

Item pool and Archive

The Lab also shows your item pool: on a fresh account 67 of 102 items can appear in Poké Balls and the shop. The Archive upgrade lets you remove items you never want, so the ones you do want show up more often.

FAQ

How do I unlock the 4th move slot in PokeBonk?

Buy 4th move in the Lab, under Run team, for 1,500 Stardust. Every partner starts with three move slots.

What should I buy first in the Lab?

Early on, cheap stat levels give the most per Stardust: Magnetism (80) and Skip (80) are the cheapest, then Training and Stamina (100). Save up for the 4th move slot (1,500) next — an extra attack changes runs more than any single stat level.

What is the max level of Lab upgrades?

It differs per upgrade: Training and Stamina go to 8, Agility, Study, Trading, Fortune and Shell to 6, Magnetism and Leftovers to 5. Across Training and Run team there are 87 levels in total.

How do I get Stardust?

From finishing runs (we got 15 and 22 Stardust from two short Zone 1 runs), achievements (First steps: 50), daily and weekly tasks, and season rewards.
