Official patch notes

Patch #6 is here! We've read all your reports (over 300 since the maintenance) and this patch is almost entirely made of them: your runs are no longer lost, no more Pokémon turned into Poké Balls, controller and keys your way, a big map, three new languages and a pile of fixes.
Your runs are no longer lost
- If the browser closes, reloads, runs out of memory or you lose your connection, the run no longer vanishes: it saves itself every few seconds and, when you reopen PokeBonk, it's sent with everything you earned, captures and Shinies included ("We recovered your last run").
- Same when the browser puts the tab to sleep in the background to save memory and reloads it when you come back (it happened a lot in Survival).
- If the connection fails at the end or there's maintenance, the result is resent automatically every few seconds, no reload needed.
No more Poké Balls
- When you start and each time you cross a portal, a loading screen waits for your Pokémon, its evolutions, the guardian and the first Pokémon of the zone. If your connection is slow, you can jump in with "Start now".
- The game no longer re-downloads all the sprites after every update: it loads much faster.
- If the data takes a while to arrive, the game tries again instead of starting half-loaded.
- White screen: it was the graphics card resetting. Now the run pauses with a notice, and if the picture doesn't come back, you can reload without losing your run.
Big map and compass
- Zone map with the M key (Select on the controller, or by tapping the minimap): everything you've already seen, with the terrain relief.
- Compass points (N, E, S, W) on the minimap, and icons that look sharp on 2K and 4K.
- When the guardian falls, everything left to use gets marked: Poké Balls, altars, Meowth, Hypno... with a notice of how many Poké Balls are left.
- Minimap size and marker size are now separate options in Settings → Interface.
Moves and builds on show
- See every move each Pokémon can learn before you start ("Moves", when you pick it) and in the Pokédex. In the pause menu, "Still to get" tells you what you could still roll.
- Builds: see the moves, items and vitamins that your runs ended with, and those of any trainer on the leaderboard.
- A "Random" button when picking a Pokémon, and Pokédex entries now show in your language.
Controller and keys your way
- With a controller you no longer pick an upgrade by accident while jumping, and the A you pick with no longer makes you jump. Everything works with the D-pad or the stick, and controller buttons show on screen.
- Rebind every key and button in Settings → Keys, including a "confirm" button separate from jump.
- No more "the Pokémon walks on its own" or "the camera spins by itself" with a drifting controller plugged in.
- In fullscreen, P also pauses (so Esc doesn't kick you out), and the pause menu has a fullscreen button.
More comfortable
- Auto-run (T key) and Auto Ultimate (or hold R and it fires as soon as it's charged).
- When you pick an upgrade you get a moment of invulnerability to react.
- My attacks' opacity, separate from the enemies', and Hide my attacks to gain FPS when the screen fills up.
- Farther camera and field of view up to 100, subtle candies, and an option to skip the level-up window when there's only one choice.
Mobile and tablet
- Meowth's prices and your ₽ now show, and move cards open with a tap.
- Joystick and camera respond better (no magnifier, no freezes), and with a mouse on a tablet the camera follows the mouse like on PC.
- Fullscreen comes back on the first tap, settings look right in landscape and the season card is smaller.
- Battery saver, on by default on phones: 30 fps and lower resolution.
Three new languages
繁體中文, 한국어 and Русский, with the official Pokémon names. Thanks to everyone who asked for them!
Fixes from your reports
- Meowth froze the run when you already had every item maxed out.
- "Claim all" left achievements as pending, and "Play with different species" only counted your last 30 runs.
- Sludge Wave with a big area stopped firing (and so did the rest of your attacks along with it).
- The portal could end up inside a rock, and dying while crossing it locked the run.
- A missed hit after beating a Shiny legendary left you unable to catch it.
- Shinies now come from families you don't have yet.
- The music comes back when you return to the game, Poison Sting's barb aims properly and tackles no longer say "ghost".
- Guardians have a minimum health (you can't take them down in 4 seconds anymore).
- In "Ready", a double click no longer buys the next item by accident.
Anti-cheat
- A suspended account can no longer be dodged by opening another one.
- Fewer honest runs flagged for review because of connection drops, maintenance or minute 45 of Survival.
- Runs with a tampered speed and impossible wins sent by hand are kept off the leaderboard.
